It is with a heavy heart that I announce the closing of Tarts & Flours Bake Shop. Starting in 2008, and officially as an LLC since 2010, I have devoted the last 5+ years to this business. Growing from making holiday candies as gifts, then to cakes for friends and family, decorated cookies via an online storefront, selling cupcakes at the mall, and finally to my own full bakery, it has been a long, fulfilling journey. However, being a bakery owner is no longer the best thing for me. While I still maintain a creative and entrepreneurial spirit, it is best for my mental and physical health to step back for a while and explore other passions.
Other than a few orders in January that had already been confirmed, we are no longer taking any orders. We’ve been throwing around the idea of keeping Tarts & Flours alive as a blog, if there’s interest, so keep an eye out for any developments on that front. I am so thankful for everyone who has been with us up to this point, especially our customers. It has meant so much that you all allowed us into your lives for your special occasions and I’m sorry we won’t be around for more.
